1. What This Warranty Covers

Siding Express (“the Contractor”) warrants to the original homeowner (“the Customer”) that the labor and installation workmanship performed on the property described in the underlying contract (“the Project”) will be free from defects in workmanship for as long as the Customer owns the property (“Limited Lifetime”), subject to the terms, conditions, exclusions, and limitations set forth below. This warranty covers installation-related workmanship defects, including but not limited to:

Improper fastening or fastener spacing not in accordance with manufacturer installation instructions
Improper flashing, weather barrier, or water management installation that results in water intrusion
Improperly installed siding panels, trim, corner boards, or soffit/fascia components that buckle, or become dislodged due to installation error

2. What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty applies to labor and installation only. It does not cover:

Product or material defects — these are covered separately by the applicable manufacturer’s product warranty (e.g., James Hardie, Alside Ascend, or other manufacturer warranties provided at project completion)
Normal wear and tear, weathering, fading, or color changes over time
Damage caused by acts of God, severe weather, fire, flood, or other events beyond the Contractor’s control
Damage resulting from homeowner alterations, repairs, or work performed by other contractors after project completion
Does not include new construction projects
Pre-existing structural, sheathing, or moisture conditions not caused by the Contractor’s installation
Damage caused by failure to perform ordinary homeowner maintenance
Cosmetic issues that do not affect the performance or integrity of the installation
Cost of relocating landscaping, fixtures, or other items not part of the original scope of work

3. Warranty Period

This Limited Lifetime Labor Warranty remains in effect for as long as the original Customer owns the property.

4. Making a Warranty Claim

To make a claim under this warranty, the Customer must:

Notify Siding Express in writing (by phone, email, or mail) describing the issue and its location
Allow the Contractor reasonable access to the property to inspect the claimed defect
Provide proof of original contract

Upon verification that a claim is covered under the terms of this warranty, the Contractor will repair the defective workmanship at no cost to the Customer for labor. The Contractor reserves the right to determine the appropriate method of repair.

5. Limitations of Liability

This warranty is limited to the repair of defective workmanship as described above. The Contractor’s liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original contract price for the Project. The Contractor is not liable for incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to interior damage, loss of use, or costs of temporary housing, except where such limitation is prohibited by law. This warranty is in addition to, and does not replace or diminish, any rights the Customer may have under applicable state or federal law, or under any manufacturer’s product warranty.

6. Voiding Conditions

This warranty is void if:

Repairs, modifications, or additional work are performed by anyone other than Siding Express without prior written authorization
The Customer fails to notify the Contractor of a defect within a reasonable time after discovery
Final payment for the original Project has not been received in full
